At Dubuque Periodontics, our mission is to provide quality oral healthcare solutions through advanced technology and compassionate care. What does our investment in the latest technology mean for you?
- Less invasive procedures
- Less pain & discomfort
- Faster healing & recovery time
- Better, more predictable results
- Healthier gums & teeth
Digital x-rays have revolutionized the healthcare industry. Digital x-rays are faster, safer, and more accurate than traditional x-rays. They use less radiation, and can be taken and viewed in a matter of moments right from the dental chair. This gives patients more insight into their state of oral health, and gives doctors more freedom for better treatment planning.
Lasers have also been a revolutionary advancement in the fields of dentistry, periodontics, healthcare, and cosmetics. Lasers are a fantastic alternative to traditional surgery with scalpels and sutures. Laser treatment is less invasive, more comfortable, and requires little to no recovery time following the procedure.
Dr. James Fili was the first periodontist in Iowa to offer the LANAP® protocol. LANAP® laser gum therapy gives patients suffering from gum disease a wonderful option for reversing the effects of the disease without traditional gum grafting surgery.
Traditional scaling and root planing, a periodontal deep cleaning technique, is a “blind procedure” meaning we are unable to see below the gum line. Even the most skilled clinicians are unable to remove 100% of diseased calculus with this technique, often requiring gingival flap surgery as a next step. We want to help you avoid surgery whenever possible, so we’ve invested in OraVu Visual-SRP technology to help us see deep into periodontal pockets with 100x magnification. This allows us to remove 100% of gum disease the first time around, without the need for invasive surgical techniques. Learn more about OraVu Visual-SRP.
